The tenders were fresh, actually served burn-your-fingerprints-off-hot, a warning to anyone with kiddos digging in! Thick-style tenders with light breading, a little heavy on the pepper.

Great fries, medium thickness, hot and crisp with tender insides, salted and fried well. The tenders and fries came with two dipping cups of the sauce of my choice. Came in at 2pm on a Saturday, after peak mealtime, experienced no line, and found ample seating. Not much A/C though

Prices are reasonable considering that Tusker's is the only sit-down option in the zoo. My family of 5 paid $43 for a large cheese pizza, one kids quesadilla and one kids grillled chicken tenders meal. The tenders were the lone standout--tasty, juicy grilled chicken strips. The pizza was sub-par, but I'm a bit of a pizza snob. Dough is slightly-sweet, with a very mass-produced white bread quality. Sauce is also sweet--to sweet for my taste. Cheese is pretty good standard ny-style low moisture blend. Crust tasted a little under baked. I've had much better pizza from conveyor belt ovens, so it's disappointing to taste something this not-good when a little improvement could take this pizza to above-average.

Expensive for what it is, but you expect that inside the zoo. Captive audience. The bread on the king club was cold and it was a not a bread that was good cold.    Other than that, the food was ok.

What really aggrvatted me was the cost of soft drinks. $3 with no refills or $6 with $1 refill. Columbia is hot. Seems like if you spend $50 for lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids. You could get an extra splash of soda.

The Riverbanks Zoo & Botanical Gardens are awesome (especially the zoo) It was one of our favorite stops during our 9 day bus trip from Ocala, FL to parts of Canada and back.
While visiting this awesome zoo my husband and I had lunch at Tuskers Cafe which was a disappointment. The prices are spendy for simple foods, the place itself is very noisy with lots of kids there. We sat at a table that was quite wobbly because part of the table leg was missing and there was food on the chairs. On the plus side...service was fast

Nothing truly bad. The restaurant was clean and the food was just OK. Pretty pricey for what you get but it wasn't as terrible as some of these reviews made me believe!
